Social Service Days: Supporting Reentry with Dignity

At Transforming Lives Jail & Prison Ministry, we believe that reentry should begin long before someone walks out of a correctional facility. That’s why we organize Social Service Days—dedicated events inside partner facilities where returning citizens receive the guidance and resources needed to take meaningful next steps.

Held in partnership with facility staff and local organizations, these days provide direct access to housing contacts, employment programs, legal aid, and mental health services. We believe in building bridges before release, ensuring individuals know where to go and who to trust once they’re back in the community.

Social Service Days don’t just equip people with paperwork—they empower them with hope. A simple conversation with a reentry coach or job counselor can shift someone’s mindset from fear to focus.

We invite you to be part of this transformation. Whether you volunteer your time or sponsor one of these events, your involvement makes a lasting difference.
